Pet Day
|
The annual School Pet Day takes place in early Term 4 when every student has the opportunity to bring a pet to school for judging. Pets have included a variety from ponies, pigs, calves, cats, mice and guinea pigs. Any student who does not have a family pet might bring a soft toy as an imaginary pet.
Parades are held after the judging and include lamb/goat drinking races and the grand parade, where owners and pets may be dressed up in fancy costumes. Pet Day is a day for all the family and we love to have visitors join in the fun, including the local childcare centre and retirement home. Watch the school notices for details closer to the time. |

Agricultural ClubThis is 'opt-in' side of Pet Day where students who have hand reared an agricultural animal and completed a project, participate in a series of up to three days of judging, culminating at the Canterbury Show Grounds. These projects are marked and the combined points add towards badges and certificates at the end of the year.
The details of how to participate in the Agricultural Club are listed on the attached blog or contact Allana with any questions.
